Phoenix canariensis are a heavy trunked palm, growing to 20m, often compared to a giant pineapple. They prefer full sun, well drained soils, & are hardy; tolerant of drought, wind & frosts. Suitable for coastal sites. Best used as a feature palm as require plenty of room to develop.
